🕹️ Our First Giveaway 🕹️

Today’s email is a little different, for our lucky number 7 edition wed thought we’d remember one of my favorite classics Contra. We’ll journey through its early years and end with a Steam Giveaway of Contra: Operation Galuga.

Fun Fact: In the classic video game "Contra," released by Konami in 1987, the famous "Konami Code" was used to grant players a significant advantage. By inputting the sequence Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A at the game's title screen, players would receive 30 extra lives. This code became one of the most well-known cheats in video game history, not just for "Contra" but across numerous other games, especially those developed by Konami. The necessity for such a code in "Contra" was due to its challenging gameplay, where players often found it difficult to progress through the game's levels with the standard allotment of lives. This code has since become a part of popular culture, referenced in various games, movies, and more as a nod to classic gaming.
